Shawn Bush is an artist living and working in Providence, RI. Bush’s work appropriates tropes of popular American culture to construct one-off worlds reflecting the fallacy of idealized Western representation. Bush has been shown in galleries in Chicago, Denver, Boston, San Francisco, New York and Athens, Greece. His debut artist book The Process of Meaning and Worth is the recipient of the Manifest Gold Book award and is included in the Museum of Contemporary Photography's collection. He most recent artist book A Golden State has been included in the Candella Gallery, Fleet Library and Benaki Museum’s collections.
